Off Roading
Off-roading is popular in the areas surrounding Tomichi Lodge and offer riders steep climbs, high elevation and spectacular views. Many of the county roads, including Tomichi’s County Road 888, are motorist-friendly and welcome jeeps, side-by-sides, ATV’s, dirt bikes and dual-sports.
County Road 888 leads guests to the front door of Tomichi Lodge before continuing on to Tomichi Pass, elevation 11,979’. If off-roaders choose to continue over Tomichi Pass they can then head over Hancock Pass towards the small community of Pitkin or up and over Tin Cup Pass to the old ghost town of St. Elmo. Marshall Pass is another scenic pass worth tackling just a short distance from Tomichi Lodge.
Many other county roads and forest service roads wind through the Gunnison National Forest and San Isabel National Forest and provide off-roading enthusiasts plenty to experience... these are all easily accessible.
