Monarch Ski Area
Skiers and snowboarders flock to Monarch Ski Area in the winter to take advantage of plentiful snowfall, a variety of terrain and almost non-existent lift lines. The mountain offers 800 acres of lift-accessible terrain, approximately 350” of average snowfall and is open from 9am-4pm daily. There is an additional 130 acres of hike-to terrain with 88% claiming expert status. Monarch’s base elevation is 10,790’ and climbs 1,162’ before topping out at 11,952’ of elevation. The main lodge opens daily at 8am for lift tickets, ski rentals and breakfast.
Skiers and boarders looking to push their own boundaries can also push Monarch’s ski boundaries by signing up for their incredible cat-skiing tours. This experience includes up to 6 hours of skiing Monarch’s backcountry terrain while logging anywhere from 8,000 to 10,000 vertical feet daily. Bring your legs, your lungs and your thirst for adventure.
