From the East/Denver -
Take Hwy 285 South, through Fairplay. At Johnson Village (just South of Buena Vista) Hwy 285/24 will “T” at the light. Go LEFT to continue on 285 South (towards Salida.) At Poncha Springs, 285 will “T” into Hwy 50. Take Hwy 50 West (RIGHT). Continue on Hwy 50 driving over Monarch Pass. At the bottom of the pass as it begins to flatten out, make a hard RIGHT onto CR 888. There is a green sign that says "White Pine 10 miles. If you get to the little town of Sargents (on the left side of Hwy 50) you have passed the turn onto CR 888 by about a mile. Continue on CR 888 passing the town of White Pine. The lodge is located on the left just two miles passed White Pine.

Take Hwy 24 West out of Old Colorado City, through Woodland Park and Hartsel, then turn LEFT to merge with 285 going South. Take Nevada/115 South to Penrose, take a RIGHT onto Hwy 50 (West.) Continue on 50 through Canon City and Salida, until it “T”s at Poncha Springs. Take the RIGHT (then get into the LEFT LANE) to stay on 50 West. Continue on Hwy 50 driving over Monarch Pass. At the bottom of the pass as it begins to flatten out, make a hard RIGHT onto CR 888. From the West/Gunnison -
Take Hwy 50 out of Gunnison about 31 miles. Pass Sargents on your Right (Tomichi Creek Trading Post.) About a mile past Sargents, take a LEFT onto CR 888. Continue on CR 888 passing the town of White Pine. The lodge is located on the left just two miles passed White Pine.
Winter Directions from CR 888 -
Take CR 888 to Black Sage Pass. This is public parking. Be sure to lock your vehicles and do not leave valuables. The hike in from here is 5.5 miles to the lodge property.

Summer Directions from CR 888 -
Take CR 888 to Whitepine, a very small town with a couple dozen summer cabins and a few run down historic buildings. Go through Whitepine (slowly, please!) and at the end of the town there is a single lane bridge over Tomichi Creek. The lodge property is 1.5 miles past the bridge . The road after the bridge is no longer maintained. The lodge property is located on the LEFT. There are parking spaces just north of the Colorado Cabin, on the left side of the turn around drive. The foot bridge and trail to Buckhorn Cabin is just west of the parking spaces.
