
Backcountry skiers and snowboarders will enjoy a slice of heaven at Tomichi Lodge. Located in the Sawatch Range of Colorado, home to eight of the twenty highest peaks in the Rocky Mountains, there is an abundance of backcountry terrain in Tomichi’s backyard. Perched at 10,300’ of elevation the lodge is surrounded with 12,000’ – 13,000’+ peaks. Depending on how big of a hike you’re looking to tackle skiers/boarders can access a wide variety of aspects and terrain, including steep chutes, open bowls, flowing gullies, challenging glades and some monster cliffs.

If your method of travel is gas-powered, you may bring your own snowmobiles to explore the area. However, please be sure to bring plenty of gasoline and extra supplies as needed as we do not supply.
Backcountry guides are available for simple day trips or advanced, multi-day trips. Prices vary based on size of group and time of year. Hiring a guide is a great option for strong skiers/boarders who are unfamiliar with the backcountry and its hazards.
